Nepal disaster relief information

The recent earthquake in Nepal (and subsequent aftershocks) has killed thousands, destroyed buildings and cut off food and water access for people living in remote areas. Getting help to some of these areas is difficult.   Please consider donating to help relief efforts.  Below are links to some of the agencies involved in recovery and restoration.

Common and unpredictable, the influenza virus can cause serious complications including death in even the healthiest children.  In the United States, about 5% to 20% of the population will be diagnosed with influenza every year, causing over 200,000 hospitalizations.  Last year, there were at least 77 children that died from influenza, and this does not include deaths that were caused by secondary complications such as pneumonia and respiratory failure.  The 2010/2011 flu season data reported 49% of deaths in children from influenza...
