Questions about breastfeeding?  Whether you are a new mother or experiencing challenges after several months of breastfeeding, we are here to help!  We want to help you achieve your breastfeeding goals. Pediatric Health will be offering lactation visits on Saturdays starting in May.   If you need assistance with achieving a proper latch, have concerns about low supply, need help with pumping and preparing for returning to work or have any other breastfeeding concerns, please call our office to schedule a visit.  During your visit, you will meet with a certified lactation counselor and a pediatrician or pediatric nurse practitioner.  Congratulations on your growing family, and we look forward to meeting you!

Common and unpredictable, the influenza virus can cause serious complications including death in even the healthiest children.  In the United States, about 5% to 20% of the population will be diagnosed with influenza every year, causing over 200,000 hospitalizations.  Last year, there were at least 77 children that died from influenza, and this does not include deaths that were caused by secondary complications such as pneumonia and respiratory failure.  The 2010/2011 flu season data reported 49% of deaths in children from influenza...
