 Congratulations
to Dr. Nishat Nasrullah on the birth of her beautiful baby girl Isra born Monday July 10th! She weighed in at 6 lbs. 8 oz. and is 20 inches long. Along with mom and dad, Isra was joyously welcomed home by her two brothers and a sister.

Dr. Nasrullah returns from maternity leave in October.

Common and unpredictable, the influenza virus can cause serious complications including death in even the healthiest children.  In the United States, about 5% to 20% of the population will be diagnosed with influenza every year, causing over 200,000 hospitalizations.  Last year, there were at least 77 children that died from influenza, and this does not include deaths that were caused by secondary complications such as pneumonia and respiratory failure.  The 2010/2011 flu season data reported 49% of deaths in children from influenza...
